O-ten Ita Foundation

In 2009, the foundation was incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja – Nigeria, under the registration number CAC/IT/NO 3122. The foundation was born out of an uncontrollable passion for supporting less privileged women and children in both rural and urban communities.

 

   

Strategic Direction: Education

 

The foundation's focus on education encompasses diverse strategies to equip children, youth, and women with the necessary knowledge and skills for a brighter future, including: Create access to educational services for orphans and vulnerable children, Out of school youths, Women, Identifying areas where there are gaps and focus on them.

  • Basic Education Support: Improving access to quality primary and secondary education, specifically emphasizing underserved communities and gender equality in education.
  • Adult Education and Literacy: Providing adult education programs focused on literacy, numeracy, and vocational skills to foster employment opportunities and economic empowerment.
  • Scholarships and Mentorship: Supporting talented youth from underprivileged backgrounds through scholarships, mentorship, and career guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Educational Advocacy: Advocating for policies and practices that promote equal access to education, reduce dropout rates, and improve educational infrastructure.
